Welcome to the official website for The NPC Camellia Championships! We are very excited to be back for our second year! This year’s show will be held on May 26, 2012 at Slidell’s Northshore Harbor Center. Last year’s show turned out to be every bit as special as contest promoter and IFBB figure pro Danielle Kifer had dreamed of as she ushered the sport of the Physique Athlete into Slidell and St Tammany Parish for the first time! There were 98 awesome competitors that took the stage last May at The Harbor Center to make this first show an overwhelming success! In addition to the competition was a lobby full of sponsors that provided our spectators with a mini expo of sorts to participate in! This year’s contest is shaping up to be every bit as exciting as last year! In addition to Men’s Bodybuilding and Physique, Women’s Figure and Bikini, comes the NEW WOMEN”S PHYSIQUE DIVISION and we are proud to bring this new division to Slidell for the first time! We have had many new sponsors eager to be a part of The Camellia and will once again make the lobby a fun place to hang out! A physique contest like the Camellia provides a competitive setting for athletes who have a passion for weight training and follow healthy nutritional habits. Athletes in this sport are in pursuit of creating a perfect physique. The “journey” that a physique athlete makes to get to the stage is truly amazing and seeing the end result of their journey is something that you will never forget.
In 2011, The NPC Lousiana chapter as well as the entire NPC USA saw more athletes compete than any year prior!! That is truly amazing when you consider the economic hardships that our country, world, and its people have struggled with in recent time! Think about that for a second.
